1. to

   I went to the store to buy milk.  

   牛乳を買うために店に行った。

2. so as to

   She spoke slowly so as to be understood by everyone.  

   みんなに分かるようにゆっくり話した。

3. so that（+ can/couldなど助動詞が入ることが多い）  

   We saved money so that we could travel abroad.  

   海外旅行できるようにお金を貯めた。

4. in order that（ややフォーマル、so thatとほぼ同義）  

   He studied hard in order that he might pass the exam.  

   試験に受かるために一生懸命勉強した。

5. for ~ing

   This knife is used for cutting vegetables.  

   このナイフは野菜を切るために使う。

6. with the aim of ~ing

   He started exercising with the aim of losing weight.  

   痩せることを目指して運動を始めた。

7. with a view to ~ing（ややフォーマル）  

   She took extra classes with a view to entering university.  

   大学に入ることを見据えて追加の授業を取った。

15. in hopes of ~ing（ ~ できればいいなという希望を込めて）  

    She sent her resume in hopes of getting an interview.

16. with the intention of ~ing

    He came to the party with the intention of apologizing.

17. aiming to

    We’re aiming to finish the project by next month.

24. towards ~ing（特に「～に向けて」のニュアンス）
