分詞構文の強調形

1. 現在分詞（~ing）の強調形

現在分詞 + as + 主語 + do/does/did

（do/does/did は代動詞。前の分詞の動詞の代わりをします。主語は本動詞の主語と一致）

この形は「〜しているとおりに」「〜しているだけあって」「〜しているものだから」といったニュアンスで、分詞の内容を強調します。

例文

1.  Living as I do in the country, I seldom have visitors.
（このとおり田舎に住んでいるため、めったに訪れてくる人はいません）

2.  Working as he does so hard every day, he is always exhausted.
（彼は毎日あんなに一生懸命働いているので、いつも疲れ果てています）

3.  Knowing as she does the truth, she couldn’t remain silent any longer.
（彼女は真実を知っているだけあって、これ以上黙っていられませんでした）

4.  Speaking as I do from experience, I can say that the job is not easy.
（私は経験から話しているので、その仕事は簡単ではないと言えます）

5.  Living as we do in a digital age, we rely heavily on the Internet.
（私たちはこのとおりデジタル時代に生きているので、インターネットに大きく依存しています）
