 現在完了形（have/has + pp）＋ since の基本パターン

1. I have lived in Tokyo since I was born.  

   → 私は生まれてからずっと東京に住んでいる。

2. She hasn’t eaten meat since she watched that documentary.  

   → あのドキュメンタリーを見て以来、彼女は肉を食べていない。

3. We have known each other since we were in elementary school.  

   → 私たちは小学校の頃からずっと知り合いだ。

4. He has been single since his divorce last year.  

   → 彼は去年離婚して以来独身のままだ。

5. They haven’t spoken to each other  since the big argument.  

   → あの大きな喧嘩をして以来、二人は口をきいていない。

6. My English has improved a lot since I started watching Netflix in English.  

   → 英語のNetflixを見始めてから、私の英語力はかなり上達した。

7. I haven’t slept well since the baby was born.  

   → 赤ちゃんが生まれて以来、ちゃんと眠れていない。

8. She has worked here since the company was founded in 2010.  

   → 彼女はこの会社が2010年に設立されて以来ずっとここで働いている。

ever since（特に強調「それ以来ずっと」）

9. I’ve been addicted to coffee ever since I tried it in college.  

   → 大学で初めて飲んで以来、ずっとコーヒーにハマっている。

10. He’s been afraid of dogs ever since he was bitten as a child.  

    → 子どもの頃に噛まれて以来、彼はずっと犬が怖い。

11. The town hasn’t been the same ever since the factory closed.  

    → 工場が閉鎖されて以来、この町はすっかり変わってしまった。

12. We’ve been best friends ever since we met on the first day of school.
