接続詞

接続詞「because」「since」「as」を文頭で使い、「〜だから」という理由を表す例文です。  

Because

1. Because it was raining heavily, we decided to stay home.  

   激しく雨が降っていたから、私たちは家にいることにした。

As

※「as」は文頭で理由を表す場合、少しフォーマルなニュアンスや軽い理由を示すことが多いです。

1. As it was getting dark, we hurried back home.  

   暗くなってきたから、私たちは急いで家に帰った。

2. As she was feeling sick, she left the party early.  

   彼女は気分が悪かったから、パーティーを早く出て行った。

3. As the price was too high, I decided not to buy it.

「because」は最も一般的に使われ、「since」は既知の事実や軽い理由に、「as」はややフォーマルまたは軽めの理由に使われる傾向がありますが、日常会話ではほぼ置き換え可能です。
